I visited Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral to seek a place for my mother if we decide to move to Florida. I was immediately negatively impressed by the building. The disappointment continued when touring an apartment in the assisted living. It seemed very outdated and uncared for. That would be a problem for my mother who likes things that are pretty. That would NOT be a problem for other folks who never notice decor. It seemed the staff was quite courteous and efficient, and the residents were happy and many spoke to me. I did not eat at Gulf Coast, so I placed no rating on food. If the quality of care can be reflected in the faces of residents, I would surmise Gulf Coast is doing a good job.
